What began as a Miners Legacy Centre evolved into a sporting community hub where the West Coast community can be active in a bright and social facility.
The facility incorporates a 2 court indoor sports centre, fitness centre, wellness centre, sports office, activity area, café and changing rooms. BGBB’s design creates a sense of identity by highlighting where possible the culture of the West Coast and it’s geographical location.
The project has been entirely funded via public an private funders external to council. This has resulted in BGBB Team Architects managing a complex design process where final project scope has been variable depending on extent of funds secured.
