A large family home provides for all with multiple indoor/outdoor living zones.

Privately positioned on a sun drenched rear site in Hamilton's trendy suburb of Beerescourt is this striking new home.

Entering via the homes long driveway the slick modernist form is revealed. On arrival at the front entry the true scale of this inner city home is presented with dual living wings, separate downstairs studio and infinity pool built into the slightly sloping site.

The design process began with investigation into a full renovation and extension of the original home, but once the decision was made to move off the existing roughcast villa, extensive planning for a new light filled contemporary home ensued.

The home is thoughtfully integrated into the sloping site with multi level hard landscaping giving access to a soft landscaping at the rear of the site. Extended roof overhang provides a retreat from the sun and shelter to the outdoor living zones. A glass roof over the main outdoor dining area provides adequate natural lighting for outdoor dining. Natural light is filtered into rear parts of the home through positioning of three skylights. The home is clad in a combination of painted brick and timber rain screen.
