An inner-city hideaway located adjacent to the city’s coveted Pukekura Park.
The design is a 2 level, high tech build with 3 guest bedrooms, a large master bedroom and loads of extra features. A coastal vibe was integrated into the design, giving a relaxed feel to the home.
From the street, the home makes an impressive design statement, with the huge custom built fins that are illuminated during the evening. The fins also double as a privacy screen for the roof top deck. The polished concrete floors are detailed with beach coloured stones.
The home was fitted with the latest Control4 home automation technology from Techknow so the clients can control the lights, window dressings, entertainment and security systems with their iPhones and remote controls.
The living and dining area spreads out from the stairway, with the kitchen island a design statement on its own. The cleverly angled island front provides a perfect fit for those sitting at the breakfast bar. One of the client’s favourite features is the built-in window seat that extends out from the kitchen area creating a perfect spot to read in the morning and afternoon sun.
