Landscape Architect

Our diverse 26-person team covers almost all project types and sizes nationwide and we are currently looking for an experienced Landscape Architect to join us in our New Plymouth based studio.

Our projects are increasingly multi-disciplinary and as an Landscape Architect with BOON you will cover urban master planning, development scheme plans, landscape design, landscape and visual assessment work.

Key criteria:

+ 2 + years experience in a similar role
+ Hold a New Zealand qualification in Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or equivalent overseas qualification.
+ Experienced in Design Software -preferably Revit and/or Vectorworks
+ Skilled in Adobe suite including; Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator.
+ Experience in landscape assessment would be beneficial.
+ An understanding of Te Ao Māori perspectives or an interest to gain understanding.
+ The ability to demonstrate a good level of design aptitude and an understanding of urban, rural and coastal environments.
+ A good knowledge of plants with an emphasis on NZ native species and awareness of local Taranaki species a bonus.

Other essential attributes:

+ NZ Residency or applicable current NZ work visa.
+ A strong work ethic with the ability to focus on the task in hand and deliver to deadlines.
